When hydration is considered, there are some that is better than others. Although water is the best drink to ensure you remain hydrated there are some instances when sports drinks come in handy. When you plan to exercise moderately, simple water will do. If you plan to do some strenuous exercises, being in a hot environment or in the sun for the most part of the day, a sports drink with some added sodium, potassium, other electrolytes, and carbohydrates is a better choice.
