Can dehydration affect my ability to breastfeed my baby?

Dehydration can cause breastfeeding mothers to experience not being able to produce enough milk for her baby. There is a direct correlation between the fluid and protein intake and a mother’s ability to produce enough milk for her baby. In general the overall health of the mother influences the quality of the breastfeeding directly as well. The nutritional value of the breastmilk can change to such an extent that it can affect the health of the nursing baby adversely if it continues for more than two days.
